Bulls Crush Grizzlies 125-96 | Recap & Reaction

No LaVine, No Problem Even with LaVine on the bench, the Bulls didn’t miss a beat. DeMar DeRozan took more shots, scoring 18 points and dishing out eight assists. The whole team stepped up – seven players hit double digits in points, and we racked up 32 assists. That’s teamwork!

Been There, Done That We’ve played without LaVine before and did just fine, holding a 10-7 record. Coach Billy Donovan thinks these past experiences are helping us now. LaVine’s been great this season, especially with his assists, but we’re showing we can handle it when he’s not on the court.

LaVine’s Comeback Trail LaVine’s dealing with his ankle but is sticking with the team on the road. He’s had ankle issues before, so he knows the drill.

Grizzlies Were Short-Handed Too The Grizzlies had their own problems, missing eight players, including big names like Ja Morant and Steven Adams.

Stepping Up Big Time With LaVine out, Patrick Williams started but then Ayo Dosunmu took over. Williams still nailed it with 15 points. Dosunmu was all energy, scoring 20 points with six rebounds and four assists. Coby White turned up later in the game, ending with 17 points, five rebounds, and assists. And Jevon Carter put in a solid 12 points in 17 minutes.

Turning It Around in the Second Half We had a bit of a wobble starting the second half, but then went on a killer 20-5 run, thanks to White, Dosunmu, and Alex Caruso.

A Cool Moment There was a neat moment when former Bull Joakim Noah dropped by during the Grizzlies’ practice. He caught up with Derrick Rose, who’s out with a hamstring injury but should be back in early February.

So, even without LaVine, the Bulls showed they’re not just about one guy. It’s all about the team effort, and this win against the Grizzlies proved just that. We’re more than ready to keep this momentum going!
